Shockwave Machine Costs: Purchase & Ownership

Published by Shockwave Distributors · About our company

A useful shockwave equipment budget includes the purchase price and the costs of keeping the machine in service. Start with a written equipment quote, then separate known charges from estimates. This guide explains what to include when comparing the Workhorse lineup with other offers.

Start with the current equipment price

Our product pages publish current prices for the Workhorse Mini, Pro and XL. Each model includes a one-year limited warranty. Compare the specifications and included accessories as well as the price: a larger package is only valuable if your practice will use what it includes.

Account for delivery and taxes

Shipping is free across the contiguous United States. Orders typically take 1–3 business days to process, followed by an estimated 10–14 business days for delivery. Taxes are calculated at checkout. Read the shipping policy for destination restrictions and allow time for receiving, unpacking and staff orientation before scheduling equipment use.

Ask what training and support include

Ask who will help with initial setup, which training resources are included and how your team can get answers after purchase. Budget staff time for reading the manual, learning the controls and following cleaning and maintenance instructions. Include every staff member who will use or maintain the equipment in your planning.

A supplier should explain how technical support works and what information is needed to troubleshoot a problem. Keep the model, serial number and purchase records accessible. Training and presets do not replace a clinician’s judgment or the instructions for the specific device.

Plan for servicing and consumables

Request written pricing for wear parts, handpiece servicing and any consumables required by the manual. Ask which items are covered by warranty, who pays repair shipping and what turnaround to expect. A component life rating is not a guarantee that every machine will run for that period without service.

We do not publish a universal annual maintenance estimate because use, parts and service needs vary. Build your budget from a current supplier quote and the workload you expect. Include a contingency for downtime if your practice depends on one machine.

Compare like-for-like quotes

  • Confirm the exact model and revision, accessories and power requirements.
  • Separate equipment, delivery, taxes, training and optional add-ons.
  • Review warranty exclusions, returns conditions and servicing arrangements.
  • Check financing terms separately from the equipment cash price, if you choose financing.

Use current quotes from the suppliers you are considering. An old list price or an unspecified competitor package can make a savings comparison misleading. Operating specifications alone also do not establish equivalent clinical performance.

Use realistic revenue assumptions

The ROI calculator lets you explore session pricing and weekly volume. Treat equipment payback as an estimate, not a promise of profit. Staffing, room costs, consumables, servicing, financing and patient demand can change the result. Start with conservative assumptions and compare more than one scenario.
